The Bridge Academy presents the “Rising Stars” program. “Rising Stars” aims to honor those who were persistent, determined and worked hard to pass in any of our programs: GUIDE, MENTOR, and PEARL. Each year our institution holds 3 waves of GUIDE, 3 waves of MENTOR and 12 waves of PEARL and holds a final assessment at the end of each wave, The enrollers who prove their excellence are entitled our rising stars.
Rising Stars Objectives:
At the end of each wave, the top achievers from our “Rising stars” Program receive an award for their hard work. Each waves’ awards differ according to the scores of the participants, as we will discuss later in this article.
G.U.I.D.E. 1ST Wave “Rising Stars”:
Dr. Marina Alfy, Dr. Yasmine Ashraf, Dr. Nermien Tantawy are the names of our top 3 achievers respectively, in our 1st wave out of 22 enrolled endocrinologists and pediatric physicians from all over the Egyptian universities.
Dr. Marina was granted an ISPAD membership, as well as, a fully funded trip to attend ISPAD’s 48th annual conference held in Abu Dhabi.
All together the 3 top achievers were granted a sponsored fully funded 1st Research Study held by The Bridge Academy. The research study will be a questionnaire-based study assessing HCP’s perception of automated insulin delivery.
The Annual “Rising Stars” Summit:
After the completion of the GUIDE 3 waves, 1 physician, who scored the highest, out of the 9 top achievers “Rising Stars” (3 from each wave) will be granted our biggest annual award “Cardiff Diabetes Diploma”. Cardiffis the 13th largest university in the UK, the largest university in Wales and #166 globally.In the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021, 90% of Cardiff’s research was confirmed as world-leading or internationally excellent making them one of the top 20 universities in the UK for the overall quality of their research.
The Bridge Academy hopes that through its Rising Stars program, it will motivate young physicians, diabetes educators, nurses, patients and caregivers all over Egypt to excel in their studies and career to help develop the Egyptian health care system.
